Administrative Bankruptcy of the Ezequiel Zamora Sugar Mill
Recently, and as has become almost idiosyncratic, a serious case of administrative corruption has come to light, involving the unethical and immoral behavior of a few public officials in collusion with private company managers. This corruption resulted in the financial collapse (bankruptcy) of the Ezequiel Zamora Sugar Mill, located on the Puente Páez/Sabaneta de Barinas road, in the Carlos Arvelo Municipality, whose capital is Sabaneta de Barinas. This agro-industrial company is situated precisely between the town of Santa Rita and the city of Sabaneta.
This unethical management irregularity had already been occurring since 2013. Attorney Freddy Marcial Ramos, who has family residing in Sabaneta, was informed of the situation when he attended the funeral of his late mother, who passed away on November 30, 2014. He traveled to Biscucuy, Portuguesa State, to attend this painful event. But he also visited his relatives residing in Sabaneta, and one of them told him what was happening at that agro-industrial company, as this situation was common knowledge; but since he did not obtain conclusive proof of such an abnormality, he did not proceed to publish such important information on the Hermes Orinokia Venezuela channel of the Telegram social network, of which he is the administrator.
